Unique Adventure Combined with Historical Experience and Green Travel
Hochiminh City, 7 July 2010 – Vietnam Travel Depot has created a unique program for travelers who are looking for the like-no-other experience of adventure on the historical military Jeep driving into the wild of Can Gio mangrove forest and visit historical former guerilla base of the wartime.

This full day experience will take travelers deep into the mangrove forest to observe the wildlife of crocodiles, wild cats, otters, pythons, and over 100 wild monkeys who hanging around with visitors all the time. Travelers can also take part in the responsible tourism by planting mangroves by themselves to help growing & expanding the forest and eco system.


The trip offers also the canoeing experience to visit the former guerilla base which stationed from the period of 1966-1975. This used to be an important base camp to set up over 1000 combats to Saigon.

End of the day will be the time for the travelers to relax on the beach of Can Gio before hopping back on the Jeep and drive back to Saigon at around 5pm.

Saigon City Tour

Explore Cu Chi Tunnels and Kim Phuc's Village (Vietnam Napalm Girl)

Destinations: Cu Chi Tunnels - Kim Phuc’s Vilages

In the morning, Vietnam Jeep Tours’s army jeep and guide will pick you up at hotel in SG and it will take 2 hours to reach Cu Chi Tunnels. Stop at rice-paper-making villages to see how they produce the key ingredient of Vietnam cuisine.

Arrive Cu Chi Tunnels at 10.00 AM: an amazing complex of underground tunnels used during the Vietnam War. Here you can fire an AK 47 or M 16 with minimum 12 USD for 10 bullets (optional) and we will have an exciting talk with an old former Vietnam soldier. Have lunch in local restaurant by your own.

Then drive 15km to Vietnam Napalm Girl’s Village - Kim Phuc where her house was bombed and she ran out without clothes in 1972. There was an picture of her, which was captured by Vietnamese American photographer Nick Ut. Here we have chance to visit Kim Phuc’s family and watch the movie "The girl in the picture". Full Day Beach Escape

Destinations: Vung Tau beach city

Morning, our guide and jeeps will pick you up in Saigon and depart to Vung Tau Beach city, 125km from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Upon arrival, do a drive along the paved road, one of the most beautiful roads in Vietnam along the beach with stunning views to take photos then lunch with seafood “optional” before sea-sun bathing & free swimming.

Afternoon, we will visit “Statue of Jesus Christ with outstretched arms”, on top of Small Mountain. Then heading to visit the beautiful pagoda of “Reclining Buddha”. If time permits, we continue jeeping to visit the “White House” (Villa Blanche) which was built by the French (1898-1916) as a summer holiday house of French Governor General Paul Doumer. From its balcony there's a panoramic view of Front Beach & small islets.
Back to Saigon late afternoon and the trip concludes at your hotel.

Full Day Discover the rural of Mekong Delta by Jeep

Destinations: My Tho - Ben Tre

7.30 AM: Our Jeeps and guide will pick you up at hotel in Saigon and we start a “photo rally of rural Vietnam” trip by transfer to Can Duoc Market - a stunning rural market. Here our jeeps will wind into a rural route to visit Ancient Rach Cat Fortress, one of greatest fortress in Vietnam built in 1903 by French. Then head to My Loi Ferry to see farmers working on paddy fields and cross Vam Co river by the ferry then jeeping to Go Cong to visit an incense workshop, a local village where the people have produced some of the finest pieces of furniture in the South, and a legumes nursery.

Continue winding to Tan Thanh beach for seafood lunch (optional), do a short pause at some remote villages on the way. Then keep driving from this Mekong Delta beach to My Tho (45km), the heart of the Mekong Delta.

Arrive My Tho, stop by the bank of  Tien Giang River. Take a boat trip on Mekong River to Phoenix Island where local handicrafts and sweets from coconut are being produced. Enjoy fresh seasonal fruits and traditional live music and songs performance. Take a short ride on a horse carriage to a typical local house to taste some homemade honey-tea. Proceed by small sampan boats through the small canals and side arms of the river to observe the daily life along the river banks with a stop and short leisurely walk at the Turtle Island. Disembark and back to Ho Chi Minh City. Trip concludes at your hotel.

Full Day Cu Chi Tunnels & Tay Ninh Holy See Temple by Jeep

7 Days Southern Vietnam By Jeep
